Respirator fit testing workshop
Current standards dictate that any person required to use a tight-fitting respirator must be fit-tested by a qualified tester.
After completing this course, you will be able to perform qualitative respirator fit tests in accordance with the CSA Z 94.4. If people in your workplace are required to wear a respirator, then you have a respiratory health risk.
Being able to perform fit tests protects worker health and reduces workplace health and safety risk.

Workers selecting and using personal protective equipment, including Managers, Supervisors, and Health and Safety Representatives.
Aim
To provide participants with an introduction to the use of personal protective clothing and equipment.
Course Outline
Upon completion of this course, participants will –
- Understand legislative requirements, regulations, and standards for personal protective equipment
- Understand the purpose of personal protective equipment
- Identify the nature and type of hazards in the workplace where personal protective equipment is required
- Develop knowledge of the selection, use, fit and maintenance, and storage of personal protective equipment
- Understand the limitations of personal protective equipment
